Famly Sessions Special: The Future of EYFS Assessment and Tracking

Evidence. Assessment. Observations. Tracking. Baselines. Learning Journals.

For too long in the EYFS, the time needed for true early learning has clashed with the time we take proving that learning has taken place. As a software provider, we know all too well that we’re part of this story. It’s time to change that, and get our assessments back to what they’re truly for - making sure we understand and support our children.

With the recent release of Development Matters and a new Ofsted framework last year that both pledge to reduce paperwork and get practitioners to spend less time generating meaningless evidence, we wanted to put your questions to the people behind those documents and find out exactly what this brave new world might look like.

That’s why, in a very special Famly Sessions on Friday 9th October at 3:30 (plus on-demand afterwards), we’ll be joined by Julian Grenier, Author of Development Matters 2020, alongside Phil Minns and Wendy Ratcliff, two of Ofsted’s leading early years figures.

For one hour, I’ll be putting your questions to Julian, Phil and Wendy live. To reserve your spot, sign up below - where you can leave your questions too - or send them over to me at matt@famly.co

This is your chance to have your questions answered. I can’t wait for you to join us
